Interim Pastor Jeff Philhower
Pastor Jeff was born in Flemington, NJ and grew up in Califon, NJ. He graduated from Valley Forge Christian College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Bible degree. He and his wife, Heather, were married on June 6, 1981 in Clinton, NJ. They met in an interdenominational singing group, called “Fishers of Men,” when they were seniors in High School. They have two daughters, Bonnie and Erin, and two sons-in-law, Joe and Joe, along with two granddaughters, Lia and Natalie. In April of 2024, Pastor Jeff retired from full time ministry after serving 43 years. He served as the lead Pastor at First Assembly of God, Freehold, NJ for 29 years. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Pastor at Valley Chapel in Clifton, NJ for 10 years, He was also the Youth and Children’s Pastor at Full Gospel Assembly of God in Winchester, VA, and a part time Youth Pastor at Bunnvale Assembly of God in Bunnvale, NJ. His activities of rest and relaxation include quality time with Heather, swimming, fishing, mystery novels, and vacationing in Cape May.
